PMAPS 2024 Industry Presentation
The 18th International Conference on Probabilistic Methods Applied to Power Systems (PMAPS 2024) brings together researchers, engineers, and technologists from academia, government, and industry for an interactive discussion on the latest advances in Probabilistic Methods Applied to Power Systems.
The theme of PMAPS 2024 is “Uncertainties in power systems: current context, challenges, and future trends”.
PMAPS 2024 will provide a forum for researchers, policy makers and industry professionals to network, exchange ideas, and discuss the results of their practical experiences, research, and development work in the areas of probabilistic modelling, efficient computational and mathematical methods to deal with inherent uncertainties in power systems.
The organizing committee of PMAPS 2024 is excited to announce an industry presentation session at PMAPS 2024. This initiative will provide an opportunity to industry engineers to present their work live to the PMAPS 2024 audience. This initiative will help the industry professionals to present relevant details of industrial projects without a formal review process based on a submitted abstract. This will be “presentation only”, as the industry session presentation will not be included into the PMAPS 2024 proceedings for publication in IEEE Xplore.
The industry committee of PMAPS 2024 seeks abstract submissions related to, but not limited to, the following topics of interest.
· Hosting capacity considering uncertainties in sources and demands
Distributed resources to enhance power system reliability and resiliency
Forecasting in power industries with high penetration of intermittent generation and loads
Reliability for system planning, operation, control and protection
Probabilistic assessment in power market
Stochastic optimisation and simulation
Uncertainties in power system state estimation
Uncertainties in simulation
Probabilistic methods in fault analysis of power systems
Risk assessment associated with different events in electrical power systems
Extreme event analysis
Reliability standards and guidelines development
Authors of industry session presentations, who wish to present their work at PMAPS 2024, will need to upload a single pdf file containing a 150-word abstract and the short bio of 100 words through the provided link below:
